Mike Robinson
Mike Robinson is in his third year as Head Strength Coach at McNeese State after having served as full time assistant strength coach at the University of Nevada for two years. Robinson received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern State in 1983, where he played football as a defensive back. Robinson has extensive experience in strength training specializing in the Olympic Lifts. Robinson has served as assistant coach at the U.S. Olympic Training Center on numerous occasions working with the men's and women's National Junior Squad in the sport of Weightlifting.
Robinson also coached the McNeese Weightlifting Team to a National Title in 2001, winning the National Collegiate Weightlifting Championships, held in Shreveport, La. Robinson is a certified Level III Regional Coach by U.S.A. Weightlifting , Specialist in Sport Conditioning by ISSA and Level I Coach by U.S.A. Track & Field. Robinson has credited his success to having been able to learn from the best.
