Michael E. Bewley

Michael Bewley is in his first year at Georgia Southern University as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. As a coach, Michael is directly in charge of men and women's basketball, men's soccer and women's volleyball while assisting with football. Michael also serves as GSU's primary sports nutritionist.Michael most recently served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Nevada, working directly with the Wolf Pack track & field, tennis, soccer, golf and cross country programs and assisting with football and basketball.

While in Reno from August 1998 to February 2002, Michael also served as an Olympic strength coach and personal trainer for local high school athletes and the general population. A two-year club sport performer in soccer and lacrosse at Eastern Kentucky University from 1994 to 1996, Michael earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education in July 1998 before following with a master's degree in education leadership with an emphasis in sports administration from Nevada in March 2002.

Michael holds a professional certification from the United States Weightlifting Federation (USAW) and is a Sports Performance Nutritionist (SPN) and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
