"The SN4U strength and conditioning program
has been very instrumental in preparing our team physically
and mentally for the rigors of a long a difficult college
basketball season. I cannot keep my players on campus
throughout the summer but implement the program once they
return in the fall.
Last year, we were in better shape than we
had ever been at the start of the season but, more
importantly, we won every close game that we played and all of
our over-time games throughout the season. (15 out of our last
16 games and 11-1 in conference) We just had more in our tanks
late in games and we were stronger than the opponent when it
counted the most. It also gave us a new level of understanding
as to what we could do as compared to what we once thought we
could do in terms of giving your best effort and sustaining it
over a longer period of time.
We won the Lone Star South Zone championship
for the first time in the programs history in 2002-03. The
program did not win the championship for us but prepared us
much better to do so, which is what a preseason program should
do." |
